Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Croatia’s Foreign Minister have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral relations, with both sides agreeing to enhance cooperation across trade, investment, information technology, agriculture, tourism, and other key sectors.
The understanding was reached during a meeting held at the Prime Minister’s House in Islamabad. Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, along with Foreign Secretary Amna Baloch, also attended the discussions.
Welcoming the Croatian delegation, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said Pakistan values its longstanding relationship with Croatia, describing it as one built on mutual respect, friendship, and shared interests.
He expressed Pakistan’s desire to deepen collaboration in areas including commerce, investment, digital technology, connectivity, agriculture, tourism, and the development of a skilled workforce. The prime minister emphasized that expanding economic and people-to-people ties would benefit both countries.
Shehbaz Sharif also conveyed his best wishes to Croatian President Zoran Milanović and Prime Minister Andrej Plenković, extending an invitation for both leaders to visit Pakistan on an official visit.
The Croatian Foreign Minister thanked the prime minister for the warm reception and said it was a privilege to visit Pakistan. He reaffirmed Croatia’s commitment to broadening cooperation with Islamabad in areas of mutual interest.
The visiting minister also appreciated Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts in promoting regional peace and stability, acknowledging the country’s constructive role in addressing regional challenges.
Both sides agreed to continue strengthening diplomatic and economic relations while exploring new opportunities for cooperation in trade, investment, technology, tourism, and other sectors to further enhance the partnership between Pakistan and Croatia.
